Last night, my father got drunk. Now, for most of you, this is common place but, around here, my father hasn't been drunk in about 20 years.

Now, why this should worry me - he just got demoted at work and he's been rather down about it. But, what the hell, apparently it was hilarious. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to immortalize that in photography...

Oh My God

The lawmakers are just itching to piss me off today.

1. Since when does fucking CONGRESS get to involve themselves in a State decision of whom to allow power of attorney to when power of attorney was already fucking granted.

2. Some assbag in the UW system is trying to pass law to stop UW health centers from dispensing birth control and the morning after pill because he was angry that UWM put up postings suggesting that people renew their prescriptions before Spring Break.

What the fuck? Because not giving these already promiscuious college girls birth control is going to keep them from having abortions, unplanned pregnancies and dropping out of school.

Oy vey...

I'm rarely this angry at the right wing before 5:30 am.

Hmmm...so it seems that my father was demoted from his position on Friday.

They're already looking for lofts and dealerships in Madison and talking about moving before August so that they can determine whether or not it's all going to work out without commiting to a house and using this as rental property...oy vey.

Let Me Tell You About The Most Redundant Show Ever

So, about this show - let me tell you a tinsy bit about Naruto and how I, for the love of some ungodly bordem and willingness to do the things other people ask of me, watched all but like two episodes of the first season because i've never known a show that can drag out a plotline longer.

Of course, maybe that's becasue half of the episodes are based, entiely, on repeating what happened in the last episode and the other half is characters all saying the same thing - in order, I swear.

"How did he do that" thought Kakashi.
"How did he do that!" said Sakura.
"How did he do that?" though Saske from across the room.
"How did you do that!" shouted Naruto from a tree.

I set up SQL's, posted some fun stuff, adjusted the way my requests come in to make it consdierably easier.

Anywoo, the sickness isn't seeming to get any better and the lack of Gilmore Girls previews makes me thing bad things about whether or not i'll be getting a new episode tomorrow *shakes fist*

The Second Sign Of Spring

Tonight it rained.

It's been a good long while since I posted about how much I love the rain. I never sleep better that during a thunder storm. I can't wait until we can get some good storms in warmer weather. Then i just need to find someone who's willing to walk around at 11 o'clock at night while it's pouring outside :)

Oh well, for tonight, i'll crack my window, despite my better judgement (I already have a sinus infection from hell), and listen to it storm.

First Signs of Spring

Today, I left my house to find it pleasantly 53 and, as if that wasn't enough to make me jump for joy, i looked down to find the first signs of spring. For most people, that's not enough to catch a second glance, but i'm so desperate for warmth that even the barely there buds of a few early blooming tulips do it for me :)

Should I ever get pregnant, I'm not leaving the house after my 8th month. My kid is not going to have its umbilical cord tied off around a turnstyle.

I haven't blogged in a while because I haven't really had much to say or much time when I felt inspired enough to post yet another thing on the internet :P

Between the Graphics, the site re-vamp, the fiction section, the big fic, etc...i'm a fairly busy internet bee :)
