So we've all been hearing about this boy for a few days now, but upon actually reading the article and having the time I really pose that this is not healthy. I feel more sorry for this kid than anything. It's very much another one of those syndromes that makes things happen to fast, aging, cell production, whatever. The only consolation would be that perhaps, if they've seen how to change this gene in mice, they can perhaps develop something at least...a shot...something, to counteract the effect so that he could lead a semi-normal life.
